Ro
& Bob Orr...
...would like to thank everyone who helped make our wedding a success -- from the beginning, planning and dreaming, to the actual event itself, and let's not forget the cleanup and taking care of stuff afterwards!!
First, both of us need to thank God for bringing us together and being the cement in our relationship. That may sound trite, but without our faith, and without God bringing us to certain points in our lives at about the same time, we might never have met and fallen in love. Some people believe in fate, some people think all of life is a crapshoot -- but we both believe that God has His plan, and we are just grateful that His plan included the happiness we have found together.
Well, after that, it's hard to thank everyone properly, so let us just say we'd like to thank our families and friends from the bottom of our hearts for all they did to help us -- from planning, preparations, sewing and shopping, to the actual work of the ceremony and reception -- with setup, last-minute details, and cleanup afterwards. It was so wonderful to know that we would be able to just leave afterwards and everything would be taken care of properly!! And to those friends who gave of their professional time and talents at discount prices (or as a wedding gift!), a special thank you for making our day beautiful!!
We'd especially like to thank Joan Knox and Joyce Parker for all the behind-the-scenes coordination they did for the wedding (whew -- directing is a tough job!), and everything Joan did at the reception -- it wouldn't have been a success without you! And thanks to Sam and Bob Coffman for their help with the church rearrangements (all those pews that had to be moved!!), and for some of the wedding and reception decorations. And while I'm on that -- we owe a HUGE debt of gratitude to Debby Bright-Brown, who came in from out of town, baked the (fantastic!) Groom's cake, put together all the beautiful flower arrangements and balloon decorations for the reception (and replenished the candles, etc.), and came to the rehearsal dinner and made sure everything was set and ready to go when we got down there to eat! Thank you so much, Debby for all you did for us -- what a wonderful wedding gift!!
And speaking of eating -- all that great food at the reception was put together by Debbie Workman and her crew, and they were out there working their butts off making the reception a success -- thank you!! And the contributions that our family members (Orr and Wells both) put in decorating the reception hall, doing our running around in preparation for the rehearsal dinner, the cleanup after rehearsal and the reception -- "thank you" seems inadequate to express our gratitude in making our day special -- but thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Thanks also to Keith Veler, who did a fantastic job DJ-ing. And to Rose Rawls, thank you so much for that breathtaking wedding cake!! And to Brad, Rachel and Debbie Stevens; Gail Cope; and Pam Lassell and all the members of the string quartet, we thank you for the beautiful music you made for us -- it added such depth and beauty to the ceremony. And last, but not least, Reverend Parker, we would like to thank you for your patience in working through the ceremony with us, and for the beautiful way you made our vows personal for us. And yes, that is our final answer!!
Again, we hope to thank everyone individually, so if we've missed anyone here, you know who you are, and how grateful we are to you -- and we will be thanking you in person -- so again...
Thank You SO Much!!
